We are currently looking for an experienced QA/QC Lead to provide leadership in the development, implementation and assurance of QA/QC across an upcoming local DIDO project. This project offers longevity and will be ongoing for a minimum on 18+ months.

The Role

  • Implementation of the project’s quality management system.
  • Supervise and ensure alignment between QA/QC Coordinators.
  • Solve QA/QC queries in accordance with relevant specifications, Standards, management plans, procedures etc. and escalate quality concerns to the QA/QC Manager.
  • Raise and action Non-Conformance Reports.
  • Conduct pre-start meetings for the QA/QC Team.
  • Prepare and present PowerPoint presentations to the workforce.
  • Assist the QA/QC Manager in developing procedures, management plans, ITP’s, methodology statements.
  • Maintain WPS and Welder Qualification registers.
  • Oversee the work of the QA/QC Coordinators to ensure expectations are met.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to QA/QC Coordinators.
  • Prepare and maintain various registers of reports and records.

 

About You

  • Hold CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certificate or equivalent (IIW IWI-S, AWS CWI, SAIW Level 2, etc.).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in a QA/QC role in construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of AS/NZS 1554.1, AS 4037, AS 4041, AS 4458, AS 3992
  • High ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail and work well under pressure.
  • Must be Perth based
