We are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer Electrical to join our project team in Kwinana where we have been contracted to integrate new mechanical equipment into the existing processing plant. This role will be DIDO daily for 2-3 months and provides an opportunity to further develop and diversify your skill set across other upcoming SIMPEC projects.

The Role:

  • Developing, preparing, scheduling, co-ordinating, and monitoring the specifications for all equipment that is required for each stage of the construction project.
  • Identifying and resolving technical engineering issues and associated problems which may arise throughout the duration of the project.
  • Creating work packs, test packs; estimation & site variations
  • Developing and monitoring KPIs and analysing productivity factors against program and budget.
  • Daily interaction with clients to interpret their engineering requirements and representing them and executing them in the field.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
  • Manage all technical queries and requests for information sent to the client and received from sub-contractors.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years+ experience in a similar role in Mining Construction – involving electrical and instrumentation installation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant electrical safety standards, such as AS/NZS 3000 (Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules), is mandatory
  • Experienced in managing, raising, and responding to RFI’s and TQ’s
  • Contractor side experience in E&I construction projects
