Special Class Welder

SIMPEC is currently seeking an experienced Darwin based Special Class Welder to join our team on the McArthur River Mine Project.

About the Role

SIMPEC will deliver structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works as part of this project. The scope also includes modifications to existing infrastructure and installation of ancillary items.

Located approximately 900km southeast of Darwin, the McArthur River Mine is a key site within Glencore’s operations.

• Roster: FIFO – 2 weeks on / 1 week off
• Project Duration: Approximately 3 months
• Point of Hire: Darwin, Northern Territory

Essential Qualifications

• Must be able to pass full pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
• Previous Construction / Mining Experience
• High Risk Work Licence - WP above 11 meters (desirable)
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
• Working at Heights (Within 2 Years)
• Construction Card
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Australian Work Rights
