We're seeking a Senior HSEQ Risk and Governance Advisor to join our team on a permanent basis working from our head office located in Applecross. This role will require site visits when and as required and is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining SIMPEC’s risk management and corporate governance frameworks to ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and corporate standards.

The Role:
- Support project managers and functional leads in identifying, quantifying and managing strategic, operational, and compliance risks.
- Review and update governance policies and procedures in line with legislative and corporate requirements.
- Oversee internal control frameworks, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties and risk mitigation processes.
- Coordinate compliance audits, ensuring non-conformances are addressed through corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the preparation of governance reports, risk dashboards and assurance updates for the Executive Leadership Team.
- Lead ISO and OFSC Internal and external third-party audits
- Develop and implement assurance programs to verify the effectiveness of controls across key business processes.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to operational personnel in the context of understanding and implementing the SIMPEC Integrated Management System.
About You:
- Degree level in Work Health and Safety or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in risk and governance roles, preferably within resource industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of ISO 31000 (Risk Management), ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and OFSC frameworks.
- Lead Auditor qualification (highly desirable)
- Lead ICAM/Taproot Facilitator (highly desirable)
- High level of computer skills and literacy
