SIMPEC has been awarded a construction contract for a new filtration plant at McArthur River Mine, one of the world’s largest zinc and lead deposits, located approximately 970 kilometres south-east of Darwin in the Northern Territory.
The project scope includes structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation works, as well as modifications to existing infrastructure and installation of associated ancillary systems.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at McArthur River Mine Site. Roster is 2 weeks on, 1 week off FIFO, with an anticipated project duration of 9 months.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction and installation, with proven experience leading teams on complex industrial projects. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical works.
About You
- NT Electrical License (or ability obtain prior to commencement).
- Low Voltage Rescue & Provide CPR Certification.
- First Aid Certificate (desirable).
- G1, G8 & G9 Mining Supervisor Certification Essential (previously known as S1, S2, S3).
- A minimum 4 years industry experience in a Supervisory role.
- A proven commitment and track record of maintaining high safety standards, adhering to safety processes/legislation and looking after the safety of work crews.
- Experience in effective planning, scheduling, management of personnel, resources, and equipment to meet Project requirements.
- Strong experience in dealing with day-to-day employee relations issues and an ability to effectively communicate and resolve them in accordance with grievance and dispute resolution processes.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
