About the Role
Reporting into the Mobilisation and Recruitment Lead and working closely with our existing recruitment and mobilisation team, this hands-on role will oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, providing comprehensive recruitment support to our construction project teams.

Responsibilities
- Proactively source and attract high-calibre white-collar professionals in the Resources, Civil, Renewable Energy, and Infrastructure sectors using industry knowledge, networks, and targeted recruitment techniques.
- Conduct in-depth recruitment briefings with hiring managers to fully understand role requirements and offer expert advice on tailored recruitment strategies.
- Support and contribute to the ongoing development of the talent acquisition strategy and employer brand awareness taking ownership of sourcing campaigns, identifying and engaging top talent to meet business needs.
- Build professional, productive working relationships with the team and relevant stakeholders, including candidates and employees.
- Working closely with our mobilisation team, ensure candidate communications and required documentation are timely, accurate and complete to deliver a seamless onboarding and new starter experience.
- Compose job advertisements for a variety of platforms, including social media and other alternative methods to effectively market the business.
- Review, screen, shortlist & interview applicants.
- Able to interpret histograms and recruitment requirements months in advance to ensure effective talent pooling and preparatory recruitment actions are undertaken.
- Understand and keep abreast of the different rates and conditions of employment applicable to each project site.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness and maintain recruitment databases and onboarding spreadsheets while maintaining recruitment compliance protocols.
- Keep up to date with market trends, technologies, and pro-active sourcing methods.
Skills and experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role recruiting for professional roles, ideally across major construction projects within the Resources, Civil, Renewable Energy, and Infrastructure sectors or similar.
- Always lead by example with respect to health and safety; promote, contribute, and comply with all site safety initiatives and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with relevant stakeholder groups, as well as influence effectively.
- Operate ethically and confidentially, ideally with exposure to, and an understanding of both, human resources and industrial relations legislation and enterprise agreements.
- High level of proficiency and expertise using recruitment management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint and Excel in particular).
- With solid time-management skills, you are comfortable multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities, while remaining calm under pressure.
- Confident and comfortable making informed decisions, you take ownership of tasks through to completion.
- Analytical, innovative, and adaptable, you possess solid problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
