SIMPEC have been awarded the main procurement and construction contract for the residue filtration stage 2 project at Alcoa's Pinjarra Alumina Refinery, which will involve delivering infrastructure and services to increase processing capacity.

We're seeking an experienced SMP Supervisor to join our construction team on site, commencing ASAP.

This role will be full-time for a duration of approximately 9 + months and will be drive in/drive out to site daily.

The Role:

  • Monitor daily works, including quality inspections, daily progress reporting and safety leadership activities
  • Review work packaging and detailed planning.
  • Coordinate work crew plant, equipment, and materials to achieve operational outcomes and targets, safely.
  • Support, coach and effectively communicate with team members to ensure consistent dealings with work crews in all areas including performance and other matters as they arise
  • Build professional and positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Promote, conduct, and amend risk assessments to identify, highlight and implement mitigation strategies, as required

About You:

  • You will have a strong trades background with relevant trade qualification (mechanical or Boilermaking)
  • Strong project execution knowledge across construction, mining or resources
  • Must have Schedule 26 (S26)
  • 3+ years' of proven supervision experience within the construction industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, crews and site teams
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Sound understanding of WHS legislation and risk management
  • Ability to lead by example and promote a positive safety culture
