Senior Project Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Kwinana. This will be for a minimum duration of 4-5 months on a newly awarded scope of work.

The Role:

• Provide direction and support to site team of engineers for the execution of the project.
• Identifying and resolving technical engineering issues and associated problems which may arise throughout the duration of the project.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team members.
• Creating work packs, test packs; estimation & site variations.
• Daily interaction with clients to interpret their engineering requirements and represent them and executing them in the field.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
• Contribute, as required, to the compilation of the project MDR and closeout of the project.

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years+ experience in a similar role in Mining Construction – involving structural steel erection, mechanical and piping installation.
• Excellent time management skills and a strong ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels. 
• Good understand of construction estimating and cost controlling i.e. First Principle estimating, Productivity Factor and Cost Code allocation.
• Good understanding of Mining Processing and equipment.
• Contractor side experience in SMP construction projects
