We are currently looking for experienced Trades Assistants to join our team on the McArthur River Mine Project. This is an outstanding opportunity to develop your career with a dynamic and growing company, who boast a great and different culture " Be Like No Other”.

About the Role

SIMPEC will deliver structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works as part of this project. The scope also includes modifications to existing infrastructure and installation of ancillary items.

Located approximately 900km southeast of Darwin, the McArthur River Mine is a key site within Glencore’s operations.

  • Roster: FIFO – 2 weeks on / 1 week off
  • Project Duration: Approximately 9 months
  • Point of Hire: Darwin

While the role operates on a FIFO roster, candidates ideally based in Darwin are sought; however, applications from other locations are welcome.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass full pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
  • Previous Construction / Mining Experience
  • High Risk Work Licence - WP
  • Working at Heights (Within 2 Years)
  • Fire Extinguisher Training
  • Construction Card
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Australian Work Rights
