Seymour Health is looking for a highly motivated senior Secondary Schol school student to commence a school-based traineeship in Aged Care.
About the position
The School Based Trainee in Aged Care assists Enrolled and Registered Nurses in implementing the personal care needs of the residents at Seymour Health's Public Sector Residential Aged Care facility Barrabill House. Duties include assisting with personal hygiene, meals, care and activities.
Applicants must be enrolled in Secondary School in Year 10 or 11 in 2026 to be eligible for this position. Continuous employment in this role requires concurrent continuous enrolment in Secondary School, and training is to be completed through GO TAFE.
This is an 18-month School Based Traineeship commencing on 28 January 2026 and ending on 29 June 2027 and is for 1-day per week working an 8-hour shift.
