About the Role
You will be responsible for providing dental services to patients, including but not limited to emergency treatments, general examinations, preventative treatments, restorations, minor oral surgical procedures, x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments and design/management of prosthodontics. In this role, you will liaise with the senior dental officer (depending on clinic size), medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers, where needed, to provide comprehensive dental care. You will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining the good oral health of personnel by Defence Policies and Procedures, ensuring patients are dentally fit for deployment.

About You
Your passion for providing the highest quality dental services is at the heart of everything you do. You have a friendly and professional manner, which automatically puts patients at ease, and you take pride in your ability to inspire trust from both your patients and colleagues alike. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do. You are passionate about providing dental services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of the highest standard of care to patients.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

•    The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
•    Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 
•    Minimum 2 years full-time postgraduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent). 
•    Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities by AHPRA. 
•    Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification. 

About Edinburgh
Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25km North of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This super-base accommodates 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine.  The health centre operates a 16 bed low dependency ward 24/7.  It also provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical and rehabilitation services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
