About the Opportunity

This position is accountable for the delivery of our Contractual related provisions to our customers as covered under the Department of Immigration and Border Protections Infrastructure and Facilities Management Services. The position is also accountable for supporting the Facilities Management Services to the Acacia Prison Contract. This position reports the General Manager FM & is focused on the efficient operation of the Infrastructure and Facilities Management Services.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Manage and direct the operations of the Facilities Management business and personnel in accordance with Serco’s strategic plan, with an emphasis on standardisation of policies and procedures and in compliance with the Serco Immigration Services Head Contract.
  • Provide technical support to the sites for the full performance of the works including PAS and ISO management techniques.
  • Support and assist in the rollout of new technologies and systems for performance of the contracts.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all contracts that contribute to meet all regulatory, business, strategic, core and incentive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the Serco Immigration Services Head Contract and the contract for the Department of Justice (Acacia Prison).
  • Ensure the implementation of Workplace Health, Safety and Equal Employment Opportunity policies and procedures that meet legislative requirements and the safety, health and welfare of all employees, customers, subcontractors and visitors.
  • Prepare monthly reports to the General Manager-FM for internal Serco use and for the client.

About you - your ideal skills & experience 

  • Demonstrable experience in the leadership of Maintenance Management, Contractual engagement of contractors including the development of scopes and works packages.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a nationally distributed Facilities Management and Maintenance environment.
  • Associate Diploma or equivalent Tertiary Qualifications or relevant experience in maintenance management, facilities management, or business management
  • Trade Qualification or Certificate (Certificate IV) in trades or other relevant trade associated disciplines
  • Ability and commitment to implement Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunities and Affirmative Action strategies.
  • Previous experience in a geographically distributed Facilities Management & Maintenance environment
