In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. 

This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 40+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.

Join Serco’s ADF Health Services team as a Medical Officer / General Practitioner and provide high-quality medical care to Defence members at Cabarlah Clinic. You’ll work in a modern, well-equipped facility alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
 

About Puckapunyal Health Centre

Puckapunyal Military Area is located approximately 13km west of Seymour.  This was first used as a mobilisation and training area during WWI and by 1939, and was formally established in the early 1940’s.  It is home to the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Training Centre, Army Knowledge Centre and Schools of Artillery & Transport.  The health centre services up to 4000 Defence members and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental, pharmaceutical and mental health.  There is a 12 bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7.  The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
 

Your Impact

We are seeking a Medical Officer / General Practitioner to join us in a permanent part time capacity, working Monday, Wednesday & Friday 0730 to 1530.
 

As a Medical Officer, you will:

• Deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policies
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to support Defence personnel
• Assess fitness for duty and provide pre/post-deployment medical support
• Provide medical technical advice to Defence leadership
• Work across outpatient and inpatient care settings as needed

What You’ll Need

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
• FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration
• Minimum 2 years’ full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years
• Australian Citizen – for Baseline Security Clearance requirements
