About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager for Infrastructure and Equipment (I&E), the Governance and Service Improvement Specialist is responsible for management, coordination, and compliance of the governance requirements of the I&E portfolio in line with the Head Contract, Management and Integration Service Specification and the relevant service specifications. 

This position is also responsible for identifying, scoping, and delivering service improvement initiatives across the I&E team and supporting the Business Improvement team in the delivery of business improvement initiatives.

This position has responsibility for the management of the Property Management service line including subcontractors and tenants.

Tasks and responsibilities
Key areas of responsibility for the role are the coordination and delivery of I&E governance in areas of:

  • Safety management and procedural governance
  • I&E statutory regulations
  • Document control
  • Service plans
  • I&E risks and corrective actions
  • Compliance obligations and Audits
  • Management of Property Service Line
  • Identifying opportunities for service improvement
  • Support innovation and change within the I&E portfolio 

Skills and experience 
You are a self-motivator who can understand assigned tasks quickly and efficiently and drive successful outcomes. You can produce reports and recommendations which are evidence-based, clearly argued and concise, and provide a sound basis for decision making.

You can foster a collaborative team spirit focused on service delivery and improvements.
Your good interpersonal skills, demonstrated by the ability to effectively interact with business managers and users, as well as executive management, makes you the ideal person for this role. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong Administration skills/knowledge
  • Strong understanding of governance and business compliance 
  • Safety/Risk background/understanding
  • Service Improvement skills/knowledge
  • Management of a small/medium service line in an operational setting
  • Skills/Background in Financial reporting/P&L understanding
  • Adept in strategic thinking and forward planning
  • Background in health and safety is highly desirable.
