The Subcontractor and Dockings Manager forms a vital part of the Inshore Operations under the Defence Marine Support Services (DMSS) Contract. You’ll provide professional technical and trades support to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of various vessels. Working from the Kuttabul Port Team Offices, you’ll manage subcontractors and oversee dockings, making a real difference in how we support the Royal Australian Navy.

 

As a Subcontractor and Dockings Manager in the Kuttabul Port team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Managing docking projects from scope development to execution
  • Coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations
  • Leading warranty processes and overseeing quality assurance documentation
  • Supporting engineering investigations and liaising with vessel crews
  • Directing schedule management and cost control for dockings
  • Approving invoice claims and ensuring administrative accuracy in asset systems

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • A minimum Certificate III Trade qualification and relevant licenses (Driver’s and Forklift)
  • Extensive maritime experience, with at least three in a senior or leadership role
  • Knowledge of RAN operations and asset maintenance practices
  • Competence in MS Office and Asset Management Systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
