Make an impact at Serco

You’ll play a key role in supporting inmate education as a System Administrator (Moodle) at the Clarence Correctional Centre. You will be part of the Rehabilitation & Reintegration team and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a casual position as a System Administrator (Moodle) in the Education team, You’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Supporting inmate educational assessments and tutoring where required
  • Managing Moodle platform operations and ensuring digital learning runs smoothly
  • Assisting with exam invigilation and education documentation compliance
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with OIMS and Serco policies
  • Coordinating communication between inmates and external universities
  • Supporting the maintenance of inmate libraries and learning materials

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or willingness to undertake if required
  • Experience in administrative roles, particularly in education or training environments
  • Familiarity with Moodle or other LMS platforms
  • Excellent data entry and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines effectively

Additional Requirements

  • National Police Criminal History Check
  • State approval and clearance by Corrective Services NSW
