Make an impact at Serco
As an Engineering Officer in the Defence Maritime Support Services (DMSS) team, you’ll provide expert support across engineering change and asset management for vessels. You’ll ensure repairs, maintenance processes, and systems are effective, and compliance with contract KPIs is met. Working closely with national and port-based teams, you’ll play a key role in enhancing the capability and performance of our maritime assets.
As an Engineering Officer in the DMSS team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Providing engineering support to site teams and stakeholders
- Participating in engineering working groups and technical discussions
- Managing engineering change processes and related documentation
- Manage corrective maintenance approvals and risk assessments
- Conducting maintenance investigations and audits of maritime assets
- Preparing scopes of work, risk assessments and cost estimates
- Contributing to key contract deliverables and reporting
Serco is a place for you
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in a maritime or engineering discipline
- At least 10 years’ experience in Defence or Marine industry
- Familiarity with vessel systems, structural design and stability
- Knowledge of Defence and Commercial vessel regulations
- Experience with engineering investigations and asset change processes

- You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain Defence Security Clearance - AGSVA Baseline Clearance
