About the Opportunity

The key purpose of the Team Leader is to provide a high level of administration support to Acacia Prison Health Centre whilst managing a team of medical receptionists.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Working collaboratively with the Healthcare team and Healthcare Services Manager in assisting them with any administrative support.
  • Delegating and leading a small team of other medical receptionists (Managing their leave, consolidating work to each receptionist and reporting)
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive material and data associated with this role.
  • Providing administrative training and support for new staff members within the Healthcare centre
  • Undertake duties of the medical receptionists as well as the SMR and team leader responsibilities.
  • Demonstrating high ethical professional standards and compliance with the Acacia Prison code of conduct and policies.
  • Developing and managing efficient administrative systems/processes to support effective time management and liaison on behalf of team members.

About you - your ideal skills & experience 

  • Ability to perform a range of administrative and clerical functions.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team demonstrating initiative and flexibility in an environment subject to pressure and change.
  • High level of skill with Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  • Experience working with systems such as Echoe & Toms is desirable.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, negotiate, and resolve conflict with those that may display challenging behaviours or come from ethnically and culturally diverse backgrounds.
