Chef / Cook

Seabreeze Hotel is seeking a Cook or Chef to join the team! Using only the freshest local produce, our restaurant is well known for its diverse and modern cuisine.

As a Chef / Cook, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation across both venues
• Ensuring all meals are of high quality and are prepared in a timely manner
• Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu
• Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures
• Assisting with menu changes when required

Successful Candidate:

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:

• Previous experience within a fast paced commercial kitchen
• Availability to work any hospitality hours
• Ability to work well under a high pressure environment
• Brilliant communication skills to all team members
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Applicants should have formal qualifications and at least 2 years of relevant employment experience or, in the absence of formal qualifications, have at least 3 years of relevant employment experience.

Benefits:

The successful candidate will be provided with the following:

• Full time salary between $65,000 - $70,600 + Superannuation depending on experience or Full-time on an hourly rate
