Doltone Hospitality Group has recently been appointed as the catering partner for The Scots College. We are looking a motivated and experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our growing culinary team during this exciting new chapter. This role offers the opportunity to showcase your skills while delivering consistently high standards of quality, presentation and service across daily college dining, boarding meals and premium functions and events.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality meals for boarders, students, teaching staff and the wider college community.
  • Cater for formal functions, events and special occasions to a high standard of quality and presentation.
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations within your section, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and support to junior kitchen staff.
  • Foster a positive, professional and collaborative kitchen culture.
  • Support training and skill development to maintain high culinary and operational standards.

Your attributes:

  • Highly organised with the ability to plan, prep and execute multiple events simultaneously.
  • Calm and composed under pressure, particularly during large-scale or time-sensitive service.
  • Adaptable and flexible, thriving in fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working to tight timelines while maintaining consistency, quality and presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and events.

Your experience:

  • Minimum 4 years experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Formal qualification in Culinary Arts or comparable certification.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  • Working with Children Check is essential.
  • Valid First Aid certification is desirable.

Please note: This position operates during the school term only. There is no requirement to work during school holiday periods, which are unpaid, offering an excellent work–life balance aligned with the academic calendar.
