About the Role…

Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, the State Operations Manager is responsible for driving excellence across restaurant operations by embedding a high performing culture. Your proactive leadership and direction will boost restaurant performance to ensure benchmarks and targets are met and exceeded. You will demonstrate your expertise in growth strategies through prospect site identification and Franchisee selection. 

The Role Recipe:

  • Develop, lead and manage a team of high performing Muti-site Managers and Business Development Managers
  • Drive operational excellence through progressive improvement plans
  • Embed a compliance-led culture demonstrated through safety, mystery shopping and food safety audit results.
  • Take ownership of store growth in the region, play a key role in New Store Development projects and Franchisee attraction and selection.
  • EBITDA targets and financial KPI’s are met across the portfolio of restaurants. 
  • Solving escalated issues, supporting Franchise Partners, Business Development Managers and Support Office staff.
  • State-wide meetings that constructively engage our Business Development Managers and Multi-site Managers encouraging a two-way flow of ideas and information.

Key Ingredients:

  • Tertiary qualification in business 
  • Experience in a similar State Operations Manager position in the hospitality industry, ideally in a franchising environment.
  • Demonstrable experience improving profitability and overall results through leadership and coaching.
  • Demonstrable experience driving business process and a sound understanding of operations
  • Strong understanding of the food safety regulations in Australia 
  • Ability to build strong relationship across internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Customer-first focus in every business decision
  • An analytical mindset, a data-driven decision maker with solid business acumen.
  • Proven influencing and negotiation skills
