The Role Recipe:

This will be a truly exciting role that makes a significant difference as Schnitz enters a rapid period of growth and transformation. You will be the glue that holds the business together — responsible for aligning teams, streamlining and driving operational and process disciplines, and ensuring accountability across the business. 

You’ll play a key role in defining the strategic vision and turning it into reality through practical execution, fostering alignment between departments, and leading the charge on high performance, consistency, and culture at scale. 

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Operating as the “right hand” of Senior Leadership Team, your responsibilities will be to: 

  • Own and drive execution of the company’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment across departments, ensuring accountability for project delivery and results;
  • Create and implement project management methodology across the business and use Asana, our project management tool to track success and report on outcomes to the Board and Senior Leadership; 
  • Ensure our leadership and management teams are pros at leading change and delivering on time, on budget and on brand for the initiatives that they own;
  • Be a key leader of the ‘Innovation Hub’, the team charged with some of our most exciting innovations and projects; 
  • Drive process improvements across the business to streamline operations and drive performance;
  • Ensure that our institutional knowledge is captured and documented in one workspace to ensure institutional knowledge is captured and the brand has set the correct foundations for global expansion;
  • Be responsible for the business’s rhythm and cadence — from key meetings to performance tracking;
  • Build a high-performing, values-led culture through coaching, clarity, and discipline;
  • Identify bottlenecks and work with the Senior Leadership Team to resolve them prior to issues getting stuck or escalating. — bringing calm and control to complexity;
  • Jumping in to unblock complex projects where required;
  • Drive continuous improvement, structure and scalability in every part of the organisation.

Key Ingredients:

  • 10+ years of operational or project management leadership experience, ideally in multi-site food, retail, or QSR environments;
  • Strong commercial acumen working across cross-functional projects;
  • Knowledge of and experience working with various project management methodologies;
  • Experience at a management or leadership level, ensuring that you are empowered to address challenges at every level of the organisation;
  • Proven success aligning teams and driving execution in a values-led, fast-paced business;
  • Calm, confident leadership style with a bias for clarity, systems and accountability;
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills;
  • Deep understanding of what it takes to scale a business and design processes;
  • Experience working in the areas of technology and software;
