The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing timely, effective and strategic legal advice on everything from large-scale corporate and real-estate transactions to corporate compliance, construction matters, disputes, workplace relations, operational issues, debt/equity matters.

Key responsibilities:
The key focus areas of the role will include (but not limited to):
- Legal Advice & Compliance: Provide strategic, solution-focused legal advice across the business. Support governance, manage risk, and ensure legal compliance.
- Contracts & Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and legal documents with precision and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams, external advisors, and government bodies. Manage external legal providers to ensure commercially sound outcomes.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks, support expansion into new development areas, and promote a culture of legal awareness across the business.
Here's what you'll bring:
- Qualifications: Law degree + current Australian Practising Certificate
- Experience: 3–6 years post-admission, ideally with 1+ years in-house and exposure to corporate or real estate law
- Legal Breadth: Commercial contracts, corporations law, property, construction, IP, privacy, compliance or litigation experience viewed favourably
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to provide clear, commercial legal advice on complex issues
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Problem Solving: Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong ownership
- Team Player: Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
