ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of the Technology Operations Manager role is to establish a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and security in Technology Operations. Work closely with our Digital Platforms team to ensure technology services are reliable, secure and work with product owners of the core platforms to manage their ongoing operations.
The role is a member of the Technology leadership team, that contributes to the development and execution of the Technology Operations strategy with a strong focus on continuous improvement to drive efficiency and increase our security posture. The role works closely with stakeholders across The Living Company verticals, including the executive management team through to front-line team members.
The Technology Operations Manager is directly accountable and responsible for the following functional areas:
- Service Desk
- System Administration
- Business Application support (L1, L2)
- Operational improvements
- Cybersecurity
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, with vendor or industry certifications highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure design, networking technologies, and IT best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple issues, prioritise effectively, and deliver timely resolutions.
- Experience implementing ITIL processes and conducting risk assessments to ensure security controls remain compliant.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, supporting service enhancement and business scalability.
- Cybersecurity expertise, leveraging the NIST CSF to improve maturity, drive staff awareness, and address emerging threats.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft 365, End User Compute, Telephony (VoIP), and Standard Operating Environment management to identify areas for optimisation.
- Experience managing small, high-performing teams with a focus on results and collaboration.
