SAXUM is currently recruiting for a PE Civil/Structural Engineer licensed in Texas to join our growing engineering team in Texas, USA.

Reporting to the CEO, the Structural/Civil Engineer will execute the civil-structural engineering, design and technical development of complex mining and cement projects.

The tasks you'll perform

  • Execute the civil-structural engineering, design and technical development of complex mining and cement projects.
  • Support structural, geotechnical, and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables including drawings, calculations, design reports, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Participate in site supervision, construction inspections, and commissioning activities globally.

The expertise you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas (or eligibility for immediate reciprocity).
  • 10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, with relevant exposure to heavy industrial, mining, and cement projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in design, analysis, and construction of steel, concrete structures, and infrastructure works.
  • Proficiency in US design codes (AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, IBC), structural analysis software (e.g., SAP 2000, Staad Pro), and construction management tools.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
