The Role
Are you passionate about clinical excellence and ready to shape the future of mental health and addiction care in Australia? Sana Health Group is seeking an experienced and driven Group Clinical Governance Manager to lead and embed a high-quality, safety-first clinical governance framework, and lead NSQHSS Accreditation compliance across our growing network of residential and hospital-based services.
In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll ensure every site provides safe, high-quality care aligned with national standards, while building a strong culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Working closely with site leaders and the executive team, you will be instrumental in preparing sites for accreditation, rolling out governance initiatives, and ensuring effective systems for incident reporting, risk management, and policy implementation.
The successful candidate will be required to hold the following qualifications and/or certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant healthcare field (e.g., Nursing, Psychology, Allied Health)
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in roles requiring advanced clinical governance oversight
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality and safety roles
- Strong working knowledge of NSQHS Standards
- Postgraduate qualification in health administration, public health, or related field (desirable)
The Day-to-Day
The Group Clinical Governance Manager will hold responsibility for the following tasks and these will make up the majority of the work for the successful candidate:
- Establish and implement a group-wide Clinical Governance Framework
- Develop and monitor a suite of clinical KPIs and a governance scorecard
- Ensure systems are functioning at each site for:
- Incident reporting
- Risk registers and mitigation plans
- Audit and continuous improvement cycles
- Complaints and feedback
- Quality and governance committees
- Drive NSQHS accreditation readiness at every site
- Provide oversight and leadership in the review and resolution of clinical risk and high-risk incidents
- Collaborate with HR to ensure effective staff orientation and competency development
- Attend and contribute to site QI Committees and Group Clinical Governance forums
- Provide regular reporting to the Executive and Board, with insights and analysis on emerging trends
