About the Role
We’re looking for a support worker to support a young person who is an NDIS participant with complex needs. You’ll be helping with daily routines at home, as well as getting out into the community and building independence. You’ll receive full training before you begin, and communication strategies and how to keep things safe while out and about.
This is a regular, client-specific role where your consistency will make a real difference.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting with personal care tasks like showering, dressing and hygiene
- Helping prepare simple meals and encouraging them to take part in daily routines
- Providing safe and structured transport support using timers and communication tools
- Getting out into the community to do things they enjoys
- Following the support plan to help prevent and manage behaviours safely
- Helping out with a few light cleaning jobs around the home when needed
Shifts will be as below:
- 2 hours every morning Monday - Friday (7am - 9am)
- 5 hours every evening Monday - Friday (3pm - 8pm)
What You’ll Need
- Cert III in Individual Support (Disability or Aged Care)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC
- First Aid and CPR
- Driver licence and your own reliable, insured car
- A genuine interest in supporting someone with complex needs
- Willingness to complete all client-specific training before you begin (we’ll guide you through it)
