Built on strong relationships and deep local knowledge, Sai has earned a reputation for personalised, high‑quality care that genuinely puts people first - both clients and employees. At Sai, we believe great care starts with connected, supported people. We foster an environment where you can be yourself at work, feel trusted to lead with professionalism and compassion, and be proud of the contribution you make each day. As part of a broader care group, we combine our strong local identity with shared expertise, systems and support - allowing our team to focus on what matters most: clients, outcomes and impact.
About The Role
This role brings together people, planning and care.
The Workforce and Rostering Lead is a people‑centred leadership role at the heart of service delivery, shaping workforce approaches that are practical, responsive and deeply human. The role ensures care is delivered consistently and reliably, while creating a positive experience for the workforce that makes it possible.
You’ll translate service demand into effective workforce and rostering solutions, working closely with Operations, Recruitment and People & Culture. Strong systems, clear planning and the thoughtful use of data sit alongside relationship‑building and a genuine understanding of the workforce experience.
As a leader, you’ll guide and support the Workforce and Rostering team through clear direction, meaningful engagement and a strong focus on reliability and performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Operations to understand current and emerging client needs and translate these into practical workforce plans.
- Leading rostering and scheduling to support continuity of care, thoughtful client–worker matching and strong workforce utilisation.
- Partnering with the Recruitment team to support proactive and targeted hiring that enables sustainable service delivery and positive client outcomes.
- Building and maintaining thoughtful contingency workforce options that allow services to scale and adapt while ensuring both clients and support workers feel supported.
- Creating a positive and engaging support worker experience that builds capability, development and retention through supportive leadership and clear expectations.
- Leading and supporting the Workforce and Rostering team with care and clarity, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture aligned to organisational values.
- Working in close partnership with Operations, Recruitment and People & Culture to share insights and continually improve how the organisation supports its people and services.
