About the Role
This role works directly with women and children who have experienced family and domestic violence.
In accordance with the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA), this is a female-designated position and applications will only be accepted from women.
As Team Lead, you will provide day-to-day leadership across a residential crisis service supporting women and children escaping family and domestic violence.
You will lead a team of Support Coordinators and Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of safe, trauma-informed and client-centred support while maintaining a strong focus on client outcomes, staff development and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support frontline staff
- Drive high-quality, trauma-informed and FDV-informed practice
- Oversee risk assessment, safety planning and client outcomes
- Coach and develop staff to build capability and confidence
- Support responses to complex mental health and AOD presentations
- Monitor service quality, compliance and reporting requirements
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to service improvement and innovation
This is a full-time, 12-month maximum-term contract working Monday to Friday.
About You
You are a confident and compassionate leader with experience supporting women and children impacted by family and domestic violence.
You'll bring:
- Experience in a Family and Domestic Violence service environment
- Experience leading, coaching and supporting teams
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and client-centred practice
- Experience with risk assessment and safety planning
- Knowledge of mental health and AOD impacts within FDV settings
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to remain calm and effective in complex environments
- A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for women and children
