About the Role

We are looking for a Support Worker to join the South-East Tenancy Team based in Canning Vale. The South-East Tenancy program works to support clients who are at risk of losing their private rental tenancies due to various factors. We work alongside Real Estate agencies to ensure tenants are able to maintain their tenancies.

This is a full-time fixed term position ending on 30 June 2027.

What we’re looking for

The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

  • Personal goal planning skills that contribute to the achievement of client goals in line with the Model of Care.  
  • Ability to engage with individuals within different levels of needs and build and maintain a professional relationship.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to the functioning of the team.
  • Ability to model positive behaviours, emotional maturity, coping skills and resilience.
  • Good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and client reporting system.
  • Ability to engage and maintain professional relationships with clients, and their wider formal and informal supports, with multiple needs and challenges.  
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex issues facing people who experience chaotic life circumstances such as homelessness, AOD use, family/domestic violence and mental health issues.  
  • Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision, mission, core values and the guiding principles of the organisation.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of diversity and social inclusion- including gender, sexuality, disability, cultural, age, and linguistic diversity and Aboriginal culture.

  • A salary aligned with Level 2 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), starting at $68,549.
  • 5 weeks annual leave + 17.5% annual leave loading.
