About the Role

The Senior Management Accountant, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, will be responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, and advice to support informed decision-making, budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring. The role ensures resources are effectively managed, funding and grant compliance requirements are met, and financial insights support the delivery of high-quality services aligned with organisational objectives.

This is a full-time permanent position, working 38 hours per week between Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be required to complete the following tasks:

·      Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, coordinating with service teams, senior leadership, and the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial planning.

·      Ensure budgets align with strategic objectives and funding requirements

·      Develop and maintain long-term financial models, and scenario analysis

·      Prepare of monthly management reports, variance analyses, and financial dashboards.

·      Analyse organisational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.

·      Prepare and analyse costing and tender calculations to support pricing decisions, contract bids, and financial viability assessments

·      Prepare the financial reports including income and expenditure statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and project reports.

·      Prepare and submit of accurate financial acquittals and reports in accordance with the requirements of the funding bodies and grant agreements.  

·      Provide relevant information to brokers for Insurance Renewals

·      Liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth and timely audit outcome.

·      Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

·      Support financial system enhancements, automation, and integration projects.

What we’re looking for

The successful applicant will be required to meet the following criteria:

·      Possession of Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with CA/CPA (or equivalent).

·      Experience in preparing statutory financial statements and monthly cash flow reports.

·      proficient in financial systems, data analysis, and dashboards.

·      Excellent communication and report-writing skills

·      The ability to manage multiple priorities including budgets, reporting and audits.
