Who is RMIT Online?

We’re all about delivering world-class digital learning experiences, with a strong focus on the future of work. Our passionate and nimble team is dedicated to creating a community of lifelong learners who thrive in their careers.

Collaborating with industry leaders and experts, we offer top-tier online education using the latest digital tools and technologies—and have fun along the way.

About the Role

We’re looking for a curriculum quality champion to join RMIT Online in a full-time, fixed-term contract role until 30 April 2026. You’ll be covering for a secondment and working closely with teams across RMIT Online and the wider University to maintain and enhance the quality of our curriculum.

The Curriculum Quality Manager supports the design, development, review and enhancement of curriculum across RMIT Online’s portfolio of accredited programs and skills-based short courses. From shaping new offerings to improving existing ones, this role is key to delivering high-quality, compliant, and impactful learning experiences.

You’ll collaborate across Product, Learning Design, Governance, Compliance and Academic teams to ensure our courses meet rigorous academic standards and are aligned with frameworks like TEQSA and AQF. If you're excited about quality education, policy, structure, and a great team—this is your moment.

This is a Melbourne-based, hybrid role (not remote). You’ll work from the office at least once a week—typically on a Wednesday or Thursday—alongside our collaborative, high-performing team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead curriculum development, program amendments, and course-level reviews
  • Ensure all RMIT Online curriculum complies with TEQSA, AQF, and RMIT’s internal quality frameworks
  • Draft program changes in partnership with Schools and Product teams
  • Manage RMITO input into accreditation, audits, and course/program reviews
  • Evaluate course learning outcomes and assessment mapping to ensure rigour and alignment
  • Contribute to credentialing standards and quality across a mix of degree, course, and micro-credential product types
  • Develop capability and tools to support quality and compliance across RMIT Online teams
  • Work closely with the Learning Experience Design team to align curriculum with design standards

You’re the Right Person If You Have

  • Strong experience in learning and teaching, curriculum design, and academic quality assurance in tertiary education
  • Deep understanding of TEQSA and AQF standards and how they apply to curriculum and credentialing
  • Experience reviewing and aligning course learning outcomes and assessment strategies
  • Confidence in coordinating complex approvals, documentation, and academic compliance processes
  • Proven ability to work across teams with academics, learning designers, SMEs, and governance stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, strategic thinking, and a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset

A Typical Week

One week might see you reviewing CLOs and mapping matrices, the next facilitating course amendments with Learning Designers and Schools. You’ll collaborate on TEQSA submissions, support quality reviews, and help bring new programs to life while maintaining academic integrity across our offerings.

It’s a role with variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Our Team and Hybrid Ways of Working

We’re a tight-knit team with a great culture that we’re genuinely proud of. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, and we thrive on supporting one another. With competing priorities and a fast-paced environment, strong communication and teamwork are the glue that holds us together.

While much of our collaboration happens via Slack, we encourage coming together in the office once a week, usually on Wednesdays or Thursdays. These in-office days are vibrant and filled with brainstorming sessions, celebrations, and idea-sharing. They’re also a great opportunity to connect with colleagues across RMIT Online.

And yes, we’re social! We bond over coffee, laughs, trivia, and even the occasional debate about the best coffee place in town (it’s important, okay?).

Additionally, we hold two-day quarterly Connection Sprints where the whole company comes together to share updates, learn, and strengthen bonds. It’s high energy, full of collaboration, and a bit of fun.
