Who is RMIT Online?
We’re all about delivering world-class digital learning experiences, with a strong focus on the future of work. Our passionate and nimble team is dedicated to creating a community of lifelong learners who thrive in their careers.
Collaborating with industry leaders and experts, we offer top-tier online education using the latest digital tools and technologies—and have fun along the way.
About the Role
Are you ready to shape the future of online education? As a Learning Experience Designer at RMIT Online, you’ll be a mastermind behind world-class digital courses that empower students to thrive in their careers. Collaborating with academics, subject matter experts, and industry partners, you’ll design and deliver innovative courses that don’t just meet expectations—they blow them out of the water.
From running engaging design workshops to crafting interactive course materials in Canvas, you’ll be in the thick of it. This hands-on role also gives you the chance to innovate assessments, implement cutting-edge educational tech, and manage course development from start to finish.
You’ll ensure everything is delivered on time, at the highest quality, and packed with impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with diverse stakeholders to design and develop top-tier course materials.
- Storyboarding, building and reviewing courses in Canvas like the pro you are.
- Revolutionising online assessments to create exceptional student experiences.
- Managing the approval and delivery of courses on time and to the highest standards.
- Pioneering innovation projects that transform the student learning journey.
If you’re passionate about online education, thrive under pressure, and love a challenge, this is the role for you.
Our Team and Hybrid Ways of Working
We’re a tight-knit team with a great culture that we’re genuinely proud of. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, and we thrive on supporting one another. With competing priorities and a fast-paced environment, strong communication and teamwork are the glue that holds us together.
While much of our collaboration happens via Zoom, we encourage coming together in the office once a week, usually on Wednesdays or Thursdays. These in-office days are vibrant, and filled with brainstorming sessions, celebrations, and idea-sharing. They’re also a great opportunity to connect with colleagues across RMIT Online.
And yes, we’re social! We bond over coffee, laughs, trivia, and even the occasional debate about the best Korean Fried Chicken (it’s important, okay?).
Additionally, we hold two-day quarterly Connection Sprints where the whole company comes together to share updates, learn, and strengthen bonds. It’s high energy, full of collaboration, and a bit of fun.
