NZ Service Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic Service Manager who thrives in a busy and collaborative environment and is focused on delivering exceptional service to our Green By Nature team. This is a key role within our business and carries a significant amount of responsibility. We seek interest from highly motivated individuals who enjoy a challenge and take pride in delivering a high standard.

You will be based within our Porana, Hillcrest depot and be part of a team leading Green by Nature New Zealand's nationwide service and maintenance operations, ensuring approximately 3,000 assets across 25 depots are maintained safely, reliably and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily workshop capacity, workflow, work allocation, workmanship and housekeeping through the Workshop Foreman.
• Lead, coach and develop the Service Administrator, Service Engineer, Workshop Foreman and Mechanics.
• Own execution of planned and preventive maintenance schedules within the fleet standards set by the National Fleet Manager.
• Take operational ownership of R&M contract administration, from quotation through work completion and invoicing.
• Approve R&M quotations within delegated financial limits and escalate exceptions promptly.
• Monitor workshop utilisation, technician productivity, WIP, maintenance compliance and asset availability.
• Ensure workshops and field-service activities comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, company requirements and relevant technical standards.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will while owning day-to-day service performance, people leadership and Repair & Maintenance (R&M) administration.

You will ideally have:

• A high level of experience and confidence with Microsoft Office suites, fleet or maintenance systems and service-management software.
• Strong mechanical or engineering background; a relevant trade, engineering or mechanical qualification is desirable.
• Proven experience managing a service, maintenance or workshop function, preferably across multiple sites.
• Safety-led, accountable and consistent in following through on commitments.
• Organised, improvement-focused and comfortable working across a geographically dispersed network.
