Senior Mower Operator

Green by Nature is proud to be the Waitaki District Council's chosen service provider, entrusted with maintaining the beauty of the region's parks, playgrounds, and public spaces. Blown away by the region's natural beauty and inspired by the Council's forward-thinking vision for the future, and we are now looking for an experienced tractor/large capacity Mower Operator. The shift patterns for this role are Monday 6 hours, Wednesday 8 hours and Friday 6 hours (total 20 hours) to keep everything in top shape!

About the role:

As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Team Manager and be responsible for executing mowing operations across local sports fields, parks, and reserves. Machinery you will operate include a Pegasus and possibly the WAM mower. This is a highly skilled role, where your expertise will be vital to the team.  

Success factors would include:

• You know and understand tractors and may have some experience mowing in urban areas and sports turf 
• A current full driver's licence and class 2 is advantageous 
• Basic mechanical maintenance skills and be technically competent in the use of electronic devices 
• Familiarity with machinery upkeep, extending to a range of mowers and small plant equipment 
• Have a positive attitude toward health and safety in the workplace and be comfortable working independently while still willing to contribute to the team’s overall success! 
• Be able reliable and committed to ensuring that every job is completed to the highest standard
