Qualified Turf Professional

As part of our commitment to upkeeping the grounds across the Queenstown Lakes District, we are looking for a qualified turf professional to join our team. Queenstown and its surrounding areas boast stunning grounds that frequently earn praise from local and international visitors, and you will play an instrumental part in keeping the grounds that way.

About the role:

As the Groundsperson/qualified turf professional, you will be responsible for a range of tasks to ensure the high-quality condition of the playing grounds. Your daily duties will include mowing, rolling, fertilising, irrigation setup, weed eating, line marking, spraying, and providing assistance with the covers as needed. As the international cricket season begins, there may be flexibility required based on the playing schedules.

Here's what you will need to be successful:

• A strong knowledge and passion for sports turf, especially cricket grounds, golf courses and sports field renovation works experience
• Someone who is motivated and self-driven with the ability to work autonomously
• Ideally a level 4 turf qualification with demonstrable experience in preparation and maintenance of cricket pitches and other sports playing turf
• A full, clean NZ driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual is essential
