About The Role:

You will be responsible for managing a team of Horticulturists and Gardeners and Trainee/Labourers across 5 retirement villages within Auckland. As the Team Manager you'll maintain a hands-on approach, helping to build a team who are focused and driven to achieve excellence and pride in what they do while exceeding our clients’ expectations. 

What We're Looking For:

Our ideal candidate has prior experience within the Horticulture industry, showcasing proven leadership in achieving team success. You should be approachable, thrive in unexpected situations, and make informed decisions to instil confidence in your team. Other qualities we seek include:

  • A level 4 Horticulture qualification and a current GrowSafe certificate
  • High work ethic and not shy of getting on the tools to support your team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different clients and your team members
  • A full, clean NZ driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual is essential
  • Solid organisational and planning skills and enjoy workforce management
  • Strong written, computer and administration skills for auditing and reporting
  • Know how people tick and can motivate your team to complete their best work
  • A positive attitude towards working safely
