Job no: QG8R6

Do you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in your work? If so, this is the role for you! We are seeking a Edger Operator to join our Whitianga Team!

Reporting to the Team Manager and working closely alongside one of our talented Gardeners, you will be responsible for general green space maintenance across Whitianga. While your role is primarily mowing and edging, you will also be involved in helping the team with planting, weeding, and spraying, whilst making sure things are kept safe for the community, your team, and yourself!

Who we are looking for:

Ideally, we would love someone who has practical experience with small plant equipment or has experience in a similar role, however, this is not a must. As long as you have an awesome work ethic, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors also include:

  • A current, full driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle

  • Have knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to the job
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills

What we can offer you:

As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with other professionals, gain further knowledge and experience, and develop your career in horticulture. We offer guaranteed work hours with the opportunity to increase based on operational demands, a performance-based salary that is reviewed annually, and a $300 wellness benefit (after qualifying period). You'll also receive a work phone that is permitted for personal use.
