Join Our Team as a Sports Turf Mower Operator!
We are on the lookout for a reliable and skilled Sports Turf Mower Operator to help maintain and enhance the quality of Auckland sports fields. As part of our team, you will be responsible for driving a tractor with a Pegasus mowing implement to keep sports turf pristine, ensuring even mowing and a healthy, professional finish on a variety of sports fields. This is a hands-on role that requires keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of turf maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tractor equipped with a Pegasus attachment to maintain sports turf and other outdoor areas
- Ensure mowing is done to the highest standards, keeping grass healthy and looking great
- Conduct routine equipment checks and maintain machinery in good working order
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor promptly
- Assist with other turf management tasks such as edging, line marking, and general upkeep
- Adhere to safety procedures and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
Key Requirements:
- Experience operating a tractor with a mowing implement (Pegasus or similar) is highly preferred
- A valid Class 1 driver’s license is essential, class 2 would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering top-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
