Team Manger

As a trusted partner of the Auckland City Council, various Retirement Villages, and Health Care facilities we take pride in maintaining the regions parks, playgrounds, gardens, infrastructure, and public spaces. To support our mission, we're seeking a Team Manager for our Horticulture team

About The Role

The role is based out of the South Auckland region across approx. 20 sites. You will be responsible for managing a team of three and the role will be split between horticulture work and administration such as audits, meeting the clients, reporting etc.

As the team lead/manager you maintain a hands-on approach, helping to build a team who are focused and driven to achieve excellence and pride in what they do while exceeding our clients’ expectations. 

What We're Looking For:

Our ideal candidate has prior experience in a similar industry, showcasing proven leadership in achieving team success. You should be approachable, thrive in unexpected situations, and make informed decisions to instil confidence in your team.

Skills and Attributes:

• Horticulture qualifications and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role (essential).
• A full, clean NZ class 1 driver's licence ideally with the ability to drive a manual
• High work ethic and not shy of getting on the tools to support your team
• Ability to go the extra mile to impress our clients
• Solid organisational and planning skills and enjoy managing workloads
• Strong written, computer and administration skills
• Know how people tick and can motivate your team to complete their best work
• A positive attitude towards working safely
