Green by Nature is proud to be a trusted partner of Auckland Council, entrusted with maintaining the beauty of the region's parks, playgrounds, and public spaces. Inspired by the region's natural beauty and the Council's forward-thinking vision for the future, we are now looking for 7 staff members, 4 in our cleaning team and 3 in our bin collection team, based out of our Henderson depot. These opportunities are to support the busy Summer period from October to February.
What does a Cleaner do you ask?
Reporting directly to our Team Manager, your main duties will involve either emptying of rubbish bins and operating a compactor vehicle or cleaning public facilities across the Henderson, Rodney and wider West Auckland region's summer spots. The roster for these roles are from Thursday to Monday (Tuesday and Wednesdays off) with the shifts being 1:30pm to 10:00pm.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to jump in and get the job done. While experience in a similar role is a plus, it's not a must. The ideal candidate will have:
- A full, clean driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle (essential)
- A love for working outdoors in a physically demanding role, a good level of fitness is required!
- A strong commitment to health and safety, following our company policies and procedures
- Basic computer and smartphone skills would be beneficial
- Self-motivation and able to work without direct supervision
