Inspired by the region's natural beauty and the Council's forward-thinking vision for the future, we are now looking for a reliable individual to join our team based in Taumarunui on a fixed term, part-time, basis starting now, working for 6 months.
What does an Outdoor Cleaner Operator do you ask?
Reporting directly to our Operations Manager, your main duties will involve emptying of rubbish bins across the district. This fixed term, part-time role requires a total of 8 hours per week—4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday. Rubbish appears at all hours so the hours, so we are happy for you to fit the 4 hours in to suit your schedule.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to jump in and get the job done. While experience in a similar role is a plus, it's not a must. The ideal candidate will have:
- A full, clean driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle (essential)
- A love for working outdoors in a physically demanding role—good fitness is required!
- A strong commitment to health and safety, following our company policies and procedures
- Basic computer and smartphone skills would be beneficial
- Self-motivation and able to work without direct supervision
