To upkeep our commitment to keep Auckland looking pristine, we are now looking for another member to join our Litter team as Litter Picker - Rural Roads.

What does a Litter Picker do?

Our Litter Team plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of rural roads across West and North Auckland. They are responsible for collecting loose litter, larger items, illegally dumped rubbish, and roadkill, ensuring our roads remain presentable. Though not a glamorous role, it is essential and has a significant impact on both the community and the environment, making it highly rewarding and the team are very passionate about what they do.

This position does require monthly travel with the team, where you will spend one-week tackling litter on rural roads North of Auckland. The successful candidate must be willing and able to be away from home during this time.

Who are we looking for?

While previous experience in a similar role is ideal, it’s not essential. What matters most is a strong work ethic and a willingness to dive into the work. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is physically fit and capable of handling physically demanding tasks
  • Is comfortable using technology, including smartphones and systems
  • Has a strong awareness of health and safety, with a commitment to following company policies and procedures
  • Is self-motivated and works well within a wider team
  • Holds a full driver’s license and can drive a manual vehicle
