Trainee Arborist

As a trusted partner of the Queenstown Lakes District Council, we take pride in maintaining the regions parks, playgrounds, gardens, infrastructure, and public spaces. To support our mission, we're seeking a Trainee Arborist.

Who we are looking for:

Previous experience in the field is not required. If you are a hard worker, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors include:

• Be willing to learn and commit to training
• A current full drivers' licence with the ability to drive a manual, class 2 would be advantageous!
• Be a team player and be able to follow instructions - helping out your team mates needs to be second nature
• A desire to adhere to the company's health and safety procedures
• Motivated with a strong desire to get the job done
• Physically fit – able to climb trees and left heavy objects
