About The Role:
Working alongside the Team Leader, you’ll support with maintaining the grounds of a high-profile retirement village. From planting and pruning to general vegetation control, your work will ensure the gardens remain beautiful and inviting for residents and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, creating, and maintaining gardens to meet client specifications
- Sourcing plants and materials, following garden plans, and planting according to best practices
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned sites within the contract
- Communicating regularly with the Operations Manager and/or client, promptly addressing any garden or planting issues
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality in all tasks
About You:
You'll be an experienced Gardener who takes pride in delivering top-quality results. You’ll bring:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, even better if you come with Horticulture qualifications such as GrowSafe, Registered Chemical Applicator or Level 3/4 in Horticulture!
- A full driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Strong knowledge of plant species and their maintenance requirements
- The ability to follow and implement detailed garden plans accurately
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with residents and staff as needed
- A proactive attitude and dedication to achieving high standards in every task
