If you're a skilled Turf Manager with a love for sports and a talent for maintaining playing surfaces, we want to hear from you! We are currently seeking an experienced and energetic Turf Manager to join our team and take charge of maintaining cricket pitches and grounds across the beautiful Queenstown Lakes District region! Queenstown and its surrounding areas boast stunning grounds that frequently earn praise from local and international visitors, and you will play an instrumental part in keeping the grounds that way.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Turf Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring top-notch maintenance and preparation of playing surfaces. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging your extensive knowledge of sports turf, with a particular emphasis on grow-in, renovations and irrigation systems of new and current sport fields
  • Collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders to exceed project objectives and create remarkable outdoor spaces for both players and spectators
  • Utilising your mechanical expertise to operate and maintain mowers, tractors, and other turf-related equipment
  • Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills to work with your team to meet tight deadlines

What we are looking for:

  • A strong knowledge and passion for sports turf along with your Level 4 Sports Turf Qualification
  • Motivated and self-driven with energy to burn and a passion for all sports
  • Demonstrable experience in preparation and maintenance of sports playing turf
  • A full, clean NZ driver's license is essential - class 2 will be beneficial!
