As a trusted partner of the Queenstown Lakes District Council, we take pride in maintaining the regions parks, playgrounds, gardens, infrastructure, and public spaces. To support our mission, we're seeking a Gardener to join our Wānaka team.

 About the role:

Reporting to the Team Manager and working closely with other team members, you will be responsible for general garden maintenance across multiple sites in Wānaka. Your duties will include planting, weeding, pruning, and vegetation control, as well as maintaining bedding displays, hanging baskets, roses, borders, and shrubbery. You'll ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards while prioritising safety for the public, your team, and yourself.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or someone who simply loves working outdoors, we want to hear from you! The ideal candidate will bring:

• A current, full driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
• An awesome work ethic and positive, hands-on attitude
• Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to the role
• An awesome work ethic and a passion for working outdoors
• Great communication skills as you may engage with members of the public from time to time
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role
