About the role:

As a Water Blaster you'll be responsible for the safe and effective high‑pressure cleaning of Council‑owned buildings, structures, and public open spaces. The role contributes to maintaining the appearance, safety, and longevity of public assets through professional water blasting and surface cleaning services withing the West Auckland region. Your day-today duties will include:

• Perform high‑pressure water blasting of buildings, pathways, walls, structures, and public assets
• Remove dirt, mould, algae, moss, grime, graffiti, and surface contaminants
• Clean hard surfaces including concrete, brick, stone, and building facades
• Prepare sites before and after cleaning, including barriers and signage where required
• Identify and report maintenance issues or damage observed during cleaning activities

What you'll bring:

• Previous experience operating water blasting equipment safely and in accordance with health and safety procedures
• Use appropriate PPE at all times whilst conducting routine checks and maintenance on plant and equipment
• Ensure work areas are safe for staff, contractors, and the public
• Follow Council environmental guidelines, including water use and run‑off control
• Complete required safety documentation, hazard reports, and job records
