About the Centre

Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre (KCARC) is a vibrant, family-friendly facility that plays an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community. Open year-round, the centre features a 25-metre indoor pool, a purpose-built Learn to Swim pool, a fully equipped gym and three multi-purpose courts, creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to be active.

About the role

Reformer Pilates Instructor

As our Reformer Pilates Instructor, you will be responsible for leading pilates classes and coaching a wide range of clients. You must have exceptional communication skills to effectively inform and demonstrate the benefits of participating in our reformer classes. For this role, you will require a Pilates Instructor Certification.

Zumba Instructor

We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Zumba Instructor to join our Group Fitness team!

Bring your passion for dance, music and fitness to life by delivering fun, engaging and inclusive classes that inspire members of all fitness levels.

Aqua Exercise Instructor

We’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Aqua Instructor to join our Group Fitness team!

Help our members stay active and healthy by delivering fun, engaging and inclusive water-based fitness classes suitable for a range of ages and fitness levels.

This is a casual position, with an hourly rate of $71.43 + super + Y benefits.

About you

As our Group Fitness Instructor you will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for health and fitness. You will possess exceptional communication skills and can effectively motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals. You will have a deep understanding of various training styles and methods, and can cater to the needs of a wide range of clients during our classes.

Our ideal candidate is also highly organised, able to manage their time effectively, and can ensure the smooth running of our classes.

Above all, you will be a team player who can bring your own positive energy and enthusiasm to our team!

You will need experience in taking group fitness classes to be successful in this role.

Essential Qualifications

• Group Exercise Leader Certificate or Certificate III or IV in Fitness or approved equivalent (Zumba Instructor)
• Zumba Instructor Certificate (Zumba Instructor)
• Pilates Certificate (Reformer Pilates)
• Aqua Exercise Instructor Skillset (Aqua Exercise Instructor)
• Maintain current AUSactive registration (Aqua Exercise Instructor)
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
