About the Centre
The Peter Krenz Leisure Centre is owned by the City of Greater Bendigo and proudly managed by YMCA Victoria. The Centre provides a wide range of programs and activities, including Learn to Swim, Group Fitness, Recreational Swimming, Health and Fitness, Stadium and Squash hire. The main goal of the YMCA is to provide opportunities for all people to be more active, more often and help them reach their personal fitness goals. Our friendly team is highly qualified and has the experience to help you reach your training goals – whatever they may be.
About the Role
As a Customer Service Officer, you will be greeting members, responding to enquiries via email, phone or in-person, as well as performing general but important administrative tasks. Our Customer Service Officers always put the customer experience at the forefront of all interactions with people within the community.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide customers with sales solutions when enquiring about memberships and programs
- Conduct centre tours with prospective members
- Follow up customers and members as required
- Promote available programs and services
- Accurately receipt, process and balance customer payments
- Respond to membership enquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression and ongoing engagement
- Support member retention by building rapport, identifying member needs, and assisting with solutions that encourage continued participation
- Maintain accurate member records and interactions using our CRM system to support communication, reporting, and service delivery
About You
With our focus on providing an exceptional customer experience, we’re looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping others. You’ll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys engaging with people, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all members and visitors.
You’ll be confident in:
- Communicating clearly and professionally across multiple channels (in-person, phone, email)
- Providing membership solutions and conducting engaging centre tours
- Following up with prospective and current members to support retention and satisfaction
- Using CRM systems to manage member records and interactions accurately
- Working collaboratively with other Customer Service Officers and Duty Managers to ensure smooth daily operations
Your ability to build rapport, listen actively, and respond to enquiries with care and efficiency will make you a valued part of our team.
Qualifications & Experience
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous
